Rossella's exhibition, X, ran from 17 June to 4 July 2009 at Manningham Gallery in Doncaster.
The show consisted of ten large, multi-panel paintings intended to explore the application of her unique style to large format applications.
The scale of the pieces was challenging for Rossella, both physically and artistically. But, despite the difficulties involved, she was enthusiastic about the results.
“I love the fact that you can be engulfed by the images. I’ve always wanted people to get involved with my work and I think the larger scale makes it almost impossible not to.”
Inspired by natural objects and surfaces, Rossella has always striven to make her paintings involving, no matter what their scale. The paintings are designed to ‘change’ as the viewer moves about them, their textured surfaces interacting with the ambient light.
